Care Instructions – Silk Scarf
To keep your silk scarf soft, lustrous, and light, follow these gentle care instructions:
Hand wash (recommended)

Fill a basin with cold or lukewarm water (never hot).

Add a few drops of mild silk detergent or liquid Marseille soap.

Gently submerge the scarf and move it around gently without rubbing.

Let it soak for 3 to 5 minutes.

Rinse with cold, clean water; do not wring out.

Dab with a clean towel to absorb the water.

Dry flat, in the shade, away from direct sunlight and any heat source.

Iron while it is still slightly damp, using a low heat setting.

Always iron on the wrong side, with a thin piece of fabric between the iron and the silk.

Washing and Care
We recommend machine washing tie-dye cotton garments at a maximum temperature of 40°C and avoiding the use of a dryer to prevent damage to the natural dye.
For other fabrics (silk, silk chiffon, viscose, etc.), machine wash at 30°C. They do not wrinkle, but you can iron them on a low heat setting to preserve the fabric’s softness. Tumble drying is possible, though it is best to let them air dry. Do not dry clean or bleach.

How do I return an item if I don't like it or if it's defective?
If you are not satisfied with the item, you have 14 days to return it to us in its original packaging and in perfect condition. It must not have been worn or washed. Once we have received and inspected the item(s), we will process your exchange or refund within 3 days, depending on the payment method used when you placed your order.

You are responsible for the return shipping costs, even if shipping was free at the time of your order.
Even though items are shipped from Dakar, Senegal, we make returns easy by allowing you to send them back to Sisters Of Afrika France, so that customers living in Europe and North America don’t have to pay additional shipping costs.
